Private lessons in person and on line
The Italian Strings Academy is an innovative school of violin, viola, cello, piano for beginner, music theory and chamber music.
The school has been active in Edmonton (AB) for 6 years, between 2013 and 2018.
Since 2018 the teachers have been available for lessons in their new home-studio located in Outremont -Montreal (QC) and online via FaceTime, Zoom or GoogleMeet.
Our students are now having lessons with us from Europe, US and Eastern and Western Canada!
Because of COVID-19, all lessons are now exclusively on-line. With 2 years of remote teaching experience, we assure to our students an involving learning experience, despite the physical distance.
Lessons are individual and focus on the development of beauty of the sound, accurate intonation, wide variety of bow strokes and fluency in changes of positions, and great musicality.
Music theory learning, improvisation and ear training are taught during our regular lessons in order to expand progressively the musical skills of the students and their overall understanding of music.
The school provides several opportunities for the students to perform in formal venues.
The particular dedication of the Academy to string instruments allows students to find the opportunity to create their chamber music groups with other students and have the joy to share their passion for music.
Children as young as 4 years-old are accepted.
The environment is nice and familiar, welcoming and warm. Parents are welcome to attend to lessons or to leave their children with the teachers and pick them up at the end of their lessons.
The teaching method is personalized and can vary between students.
Lessons are in English, French or Italian.
