Student Responsibilities –
Attendance – The student is responsible for his or her time slot. Once the student chooses the time and frequency of his or her lesson, according to the teacher's availability, he or she is committed to that time slot.
Limit of two missed lessons: Each student is allowed to miss two lessons per year (from September to June). Make-up lessons are provided for students who give at least 48-hours' notice. Any additional missed lessons beyond those two, regardless of notification, will be charged.
Bad weather conditions: If the student cannot come to his/her lesson because of bad weather, the teachers are available to give lessons during his time slot on Skype or on FaceTime.
Material – The student is responsible for the purchase of his or her own instrument, books, and other required material. The teacher will assist in referring the student to where he or she can obtain these materials.
Practice – The teacher will determine how much practice is ideal for the student and will encourage the student in his or her practicing. Progress will be accelerated for those students who maintain the recommended practicing time. If the student is not dedicating enough time or effort to practicing, the teacher may revoke the present contract in order to make room for other students.
Payments - Payment is to be received at the beginning of the first lesson of each month. If the student does not attend the fist lesson of the month, the lesson will still be charged (unless he or she has given 48 hours' notice and has not exceeded the limit of two missed lessons).
